Whyteman’s Brae in Kirkcaldy is due to close for up to four weeks due to carriageway resufacing works.
The month-long programme, which will be carried out by Fife Council, starts on Saturday and will involve phased restrictions on the road.
A spokesman said: “We’ll maintain access to Whyteman’s Brae Hospital for appointments.
“For the first phase of the works, access to the hospital will be from Hayfield Road and for the second phase will be from Dunnikier Way.”
Access to the NHS overflow car park will be maintained for the duration of the project but bus services will be affected by the road closures.
Bus stops will be shut off within works areas and bus users will be directed to the next available bus stop. For more information contact Stagecoach on (01592) 645680 or visit www.stagecoachbus.com
Access for the emergency services will be maintained at all times, however, local residents will only be granted access at the discretion of the engineer and the contractor during the works.
The spokesman added: “We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works, we will try to keep disturbance to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated.”
