Kirkcaldy launched its Christmas countdown with the biggest and most spectacular fireworks display seen in the town for many years.
It was the grand finale to an afternoon of events which drew huge crowds into the town centre.
A lantern parade through the town was superbly supported and led by the drummers from Drumatik.
It snaked its way along the pedestrianised zone, up Kirk Wynd, along Hunter Street and into a packed Town Square where there was music and the first performance of a specially commissioned piece ‘Bringing Of The Light’ before the entire town was lit up by a spectacular fireworks display from the roof of the Town House.
There were huge cheers as the display ended with a bang - and feedback from the massive crowd was all positive.
The event was organised by Kirkcaldy4All.
