Kirkland group helps plant fruit trees

Kirkland High School pupils recently joined the environmental team from CLEAR – Community-Led Environmental Action for Regeneration – who were taking advantage of some slightly milder weather to engage in volunteer fruit tree planting sessions at their latest town orchard in Buckhaven.

Some additional birdboxes were also installed at Starkies Wood.

Among a ususal busy diary of activities, the group staged a Burns Open Day at 36 College Street last week, to observe the bard and also mark its first anniversary in the premises, while three nature interpretation panels and one history panel were installed close to benches on the Ness Braes.
