CHILDREN and adults alike enjoyed an afternoon of fun-filled festive frolics in Kirkcaldy on Sunday.
Santa Claus and his real live reindeer arrived in town to take up residence in his grotto until Christmas Eve. And hundreds of youngsters turned out to welcome him, wearing their antler hats given out by the Mercat shopping centre.
His arrival in the town centre was followed by an afternoon of street entertainment laid on by Kirkcaldy4All including weird and wonderful stilt-walkers, acrobats, entertainers and fairies giving out sweets to the youngsters.
At 4.00 p.m. there was a countdown to the switch on of the festive lights by David Torrance, Kirkcaldy MSP and Councillor Alice Soper, chairman of the Kirkcaldy Area Committee, helped by Kirkcaldy’s Langtoun Lad and Lass Dylan Scott and Rebekkah Robertson.
