There's a lot to see in this incredible aerial picture of Dysart east, which was taken by the Fife Free Press in 1976.

In the foreground is Edington Place, whilst overlooking the foreshore is the Cook Street/Stewart Street housing scheme.

The railway on the right ran from Frances Colliery and cut across Normand Road then joined the main line at the top of the picture.

Next to the level crossing which you can make out centre right, is the Fife Oil Supplies depot and on the left are Dysart Primary and the Normand Road United Free Church.

Finally at the top of the picture beyond the railway is the Bellfield Crescent housing scheme.
