Looking back: Clean up for Glenwood pupils, 1974

Engaging youngsters and getting them involved in worthwhile extra curricular activities and projects that make for a better community, has always been on the agenda for schools throughout the decades.

Our archive photograph from 42 years ago shows pupils from a school in the new town doing just that.

As part of an environmental project, pupils at Glenwood High School, pictured above, are shown taking a well earned breather and posing for the cameraman’s lens having just cleared a jungle of bushes and grass from a disused curling rink in Portmoak Forest, Kinross.
