Looking back: Cupar agricultural show
The Fife Show is an annual traditional agricultural show of long standing and our picture this week gives an idea of just how long that is.
A speculative date of 1821 has been attributed to the formation of the Fife Agricultural Society and the subsequent showing of animals and other agricultural objects in Cupar.
The principal aim of the show and competitions – still held in Cupar – is to give the public an opportunity to find out more about the local agricultural scene in Fife.
