Looking back: Duke of Kent visits Cupar in 1970
This photo was unearthed from our archives and shows the Duke of Kent visiting Cupar in 1970.
We’re not sure of the occasion, however, so perhaps it will bring back memories for some readers.
The group appears to be standing in the Cart Haugh, as what was then Watts the seed merchants is in the background.
The duke, now 80, returned to north east Fife earlier this year to visit his old regiment, the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, in Leuchars.
