Looking Back: Kirkcaldy Pageant 2000

The first Kirkcaldy pageant of the new millennium attracted more than 10,000 people to Beveridge Park and luckily for all concerned, the sun shone throughout day.

Hundreds of spectators lined the streets to watch the parade which set of from the Fife Ice Arena, the focal point being the Cope Centre Pageant Day float which led the way, carrying the Lang Toun Lad and Lass, Christopher Lumsden and Sandie Douglas.

Also taking part were children from Sinclairtown Primary School, Dysart Colliery Silver Band and District Lions Club.

Activities in the park included sack races, a gymnastics display and dog agility performances.
