Looking back: Market Street missile protest

Taking a stroll down the memory lane of Market Street in St Andrews, this week's picture shows an anti USA cruise missile protest and information stand outside of what was then the Royal Bank of Scotland and is now Costa Coffee.

Behind the information board detailing international law on warfare and nuclear weapons, was the Bank of Scotland which is now Fat Face.

The photograph was taken in the late 1970s when the United States announced they would deploy missiles in Britain.
