Looking back: Record entry for Buko 1975
Sport and a bit of friendly competition have always been a big attraction locally and back in the day events could draw large numbers of teams.
This old picture from the archives shows the proud winning team from Buko (Manufacturing) Ltd, Glenrothes, who had just lifted the Tullis Russell Challenge Cup.
More than four decades ago the competition attracted a record 49 entries.
In the end the Buko boys did the company proud and were the top players of the event, winning comfortably by beating fellow finalists Anderson Mavor 6-0.
