Looking back: Starting them young at Pitlessie joiners
This sepia tinged step into the past illustrates a line-up of different generations of workers outside the front of David Garland and Son.
The Pitlessie based outlet, a joiners and carpenters, was established in 1885 and is still in operation to this day.
The photograph was taken in 1905 and the annontation on the back of photograph identifies that one of the small girls – pictured in the darker dress – is Miss Garland, daughter of David Garland’s ‘Son’
