Expect delays due to resurfacing work on the A914.

Major carriageway resurfacing works are due to begin this weekend on the A914 from Forgan Roundabout to St Michaels village.

The work – which will be carried out by Fife Council’s transportation service – is expected to begin at 8pm on Sunday and last for up to six weeks. Temporary traffic lights will be in place with a convoy system during the works. Access to properties outwith normal working hours will be maintained.

During the works, the A914 will run in a one-way direction from the north to the south. Traffic from south to north will travel via a one-way loop on the C12 Rose Acres Road, from north of St Michaels to the Five Roads roundabout.

Anyone within the works area will have to use the one-way loop for safety reasons, and bus travellers are being encouraged to allow extra time for their journeys.

Work during the first week will be over-night but then move to normal working daytime hours in the following weeks.
