Man appears in court after drugs worth £25,000 are seized in Methil

Police in Fife have recovered class B and C drugs worth around £25,000 from a house in Methil.

A warrant was executed yesterday (Tuesday) at a property on Rowan Crescent.

Cannabis was recovered as well as a quantity of class B and C pills worth a total of £25,024.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested and appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today (Wednesday).

Detective Sergeant Jim McGuinness, of Levenmouth Police Station, said: “It’s always good to get drugs off our streets, particularly when it’s a significant amount.

“The impact drugs have on communities can be huge, and we rely on information from the public to tackle the problem.

“If anyone has any information relating to drug crime in their area, please contact Police Scotland on 101.”
