Man appears in court following East Wemyss Spar incident

Police Scotland has confirmed that a 25 year old man from the West Midlands area of England appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today (Thursday, December 11) in connection with a break in to the Spar shop in East Wemyss on Wednesday morning.

He was also charged with the theft of a motor vehicle from the Glenrothes area.

Officers from the Fife Division of Police Scotland arrested the man following an investigation which was helped greatly by members of the public especially residents of East Wemyss.

Detective Sergeant Paul Dick who led the enquiry said: “Our enquires continue to trace the other three males and again I would ask anyone who has information about this incident to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
