Man appears in court following Leven robbery

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery of a 57-year-old woman on Waggon Road, Leven on Friday, January 22.

A 26-year-old man was expected to appear in court on Monday

The man was expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today (Monday).

Detective Sergeant Jim McGuinness, from Levenmouth Police Station, said: “I would like to thank those members of the community who have contacted us with information since this incident.

“I would still like to encourage anyone who was in the area of The Hut Shop, shortly before 8am on Friday who may have information about the incident to contact us if they have not already done so.

“We have not yet been able to recover the victim’s handbag. We suspect this has been discarded in the local area and would ask that any member of the public who finds such an item in the area of Waggon Road to contact us as soon as possible.”
