Man arrested after Class A and B drugs recovered in Fife

Police in Fife have arrested and charged a man under the Misuse of Drugs Act after recovering a significant quantity of class A and B drugs from a property in Methil.

Acting on intelligence, local CID officers searched an address in the Wellesley Road area on Saturday (July 23).

This resulted in the recovery of a quantity of cocaine with an approximate street value of £760 and a number of mature cannabis plants with an approximate value of £4180.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for various offences and he is expected to appear in court in due course.

Detective Sergeant Wayne Parker, based at Leven CID, said: “As a result of this latest operation we have prevented a significant quantity of harmful drugs from reaching local communities.

“Tackling drug crime remains a priority for Police Scotland and we will always act on information that is passed to us.
