Man charged over fire that killed former Glenrothes man 18 years ago

A man has been arrested in connection with a fire that killed a former Glenrothes man almost 18 years ago.

Police have confirmed a 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to the blaze in which Gordon Graham died in Fraserburgh in May 1998.

The man is expected to appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court tomorrow (Thursday).

A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal fire at 74 High Street, Fraserburgh, on May 3 1998 which claimed the life of Gordon Graham.

“The family of Mr Graham have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.”
