A man has appeared in court in Kirkcaldy charged with murder.
William Marshall (42), whose address was given simply as Kirkcaldy, made no plea or declaration to the charge when he appeared briefly in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff court yesterday (Thursday).
He was committed for further examination and granted bail, but will remain in custody pending a crown appeal against his release.
The date of his next court appearance has still be be confirmed.
His hearing was in connection with the death of Jennifer Edwards (45), a sports therapist, who was found dead in her flat in Deas Wharf in Kirkcaldy on June 14 this year.
Police Scotland had appealed for the help of the public in tracing the mother-of-two’s movements in the town leading up to the discovery of her body.
