Man left with serious injuries after cyclist collides with car

Fife Road Policing Officers have appealed for witnesses after a 54-year-old male cyclist was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Fife today (Monday).

The collision happened around 12.30pm this afternoon on Oriel Road at the junction with Wester Bogie Road when the cyclist and a Nissan Qashqai collided.

The road was closed for a period of time to allow officers to investigate the circumstances of the collision and the public are thanked for their patience.

The cyclist was taken to the Victoria Hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Sergeant James Henry of Fife Road Policing Unit said: “This collision has left a man with serious injuries and I would ask anyone with any information to please contact us on 101.”
