Man’s body found in Glenrothes

A police investigation has been launched after the body of a man was discovered in Glenrothes on Saturday.

Officers were called to the scene, which is in the Collydean area of the town, after the body of a man was found in a wooded area.

Supt Dougie Milton, who is directing enquiries, said: “The investigation is at its very earliest stages and we are attempting to establish the circumstances of this unexplained death. Officers are sealing the area and evidence gathering at present and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal, Kirkcaldy, in due course”.
