A second charity night has been organised in memory of local man Tam Dignan and it’s hoped the Douglas Arms in Methilhill will once again be packed out with lots of money raised for charity.
The event is being organised by Graeme Dignan (pictured with Psychotherapy, who will perform), brother of Tam who passed away in 2012.
Both big punk rock fans, Graeme brought together several bands last February for a special gig to remember his brother and to raise money for Maggie’s Fife and Capability Scotland.
Saturday’s gig will feature several bands and performers, all taking part for free. Graeme said: “We have decided to hold the event again firstly in remembrance of Tam, and also because there were many requests to do so as he was a well known character in the local punk music scene.”
This year, the family has chosen to raise money for local group Austism Rocks. “We have an 18-year-old son who has Aspergers syndrome and while we have been bringing him up there has been very little support in this area and have been very impressed with the efforts of Liza at Autism Rocks and what they are aiming to accomplish.”
