Two men have been arrested and charged following three recent housebreakings in Burntisland.
As part of the ongoing Operation RAC, officers had been investigating three break-ins, which occurred at the Burntisland Golf Club, a shop premises in Cotburn Crescent and a home in Melville Gardens sometime between May 29 and 30.
Various items of property were stolen during these incidents and local officers had been pursuing a number of lines of enquiry as part of their investigation.
As a result, two men aged 33 and 42 were detained on Saturday, May 30 and subsequently charged.
They will appear at court at a later date.
Detective Inspector Colin Robson said: “We recognise the impact housebreaking has on victims and our local communities continually highlighted this issue as a policing priority.
“To reflect our commitment to tackling housebreaking and associated offences, Operation RAC officers continue to identify those responsible for housebreaking and acquisitive crime and in addition to proactive enforcement activity, officers regularly engage with the public to offer a range of crime prevention advice.
