Missing Glenrothes man found safe and well

A Glenrothes man reported missing by his family and friends last week has been found safe and well.

Darren Aitchison (30), was seen in Jedburgh, Scottish Borders, last Tuesday, but a police statement reported that it was believed he may have moved on to Edinburgh.

Darren’s family reported him missing to police as he had not been in contact with them for several days.

However police reported on Monday morning that Mr Aitchison had been found safe.

A statement said: “Police in Glenrothes can confirm that Darren Aitchison, reported missing last Tuesday - January 12, has been found safe and well.

“Officers wish to thank public and media for their assistance in tracing Darren.”
