A man reported missing in St Andrews has been found.
Police Scotland confirmed that John Wilson, who went missing from the St Andrews area last night (Thursday), has been found.
A police search team found the 68-year-old at 4.00 p.m. today (Friday) on a footpath in St Andrews.
He is currently receiving treatment from the Scottish Ambulance Service and will be subsequently transferred to hospital.
Officers thanked those members of the public and media who participated in the search.
Mr Wilson disappeared from his home in the Rose Street area of the town at around 1.45 p.m. on Thursday.
An extensive search of the area, including the use of the Broughty Ferry lifeboat, was launched that evening, and recommenced early on Friday morning.
