The long-running theatre show ‘The Mousetrap’ is coming back to Fife.
Agatha Christie’s record breaking show is back at the Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline, for a second run from November 16-21.
It was last in the Kingdom in 2013.
‘The Moustrap’ is famous around the world for being the longest running show of any kind in the history of theatre, with over 25,000 performances, and now the 60th anniversary production is back by popular demand.
Claire Fletcher, PR Manager for the Alhambra Theatre commented ‘It is fantastic news that the UK tour of The Mousetrap will return to the Alhambra stage.
‘‘It is one of the most iconic plays in London’s West End, and we are thrilled that it is returning. Our drama audiences are ever increasing following a successful run recently of ‘The Woman in Black’, and there is evidently an appetite for high quality drama productions within the local and surrounding area.’
In The Mousetrap, the scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed.
