They’re used to a different stack of chips in the super-wealthy playground of Monte Carlo – but the friendly millionaires will soon be welcoming back an old friend who specialises in the other variety.
Mobile chip shop boss Murray Cameron, his wife Irene – and their famous van – will be heading once again to the famous principality in early December to take part in the Monte Carlo whisky conference.

This will be the third year running that Murray (50) and Irene (46), of Anstruther, have been invited to the prestigious Maison d’Ecosse event.
In 2013, they received a surprise phone call – which they thought at first was a prank – saying His Serene Highness Prince Albert of Monaco had requested they serve him fish and chips.
They were delighted with the honour, although they still wonder sometimes how the Prince of Monaco came to hear about fish suppers from an East Neuk van.
The couple will be dividing their time between the palace and the famous casino square.
They started the firm 25 years ago and Murray said previously: “Back then, my wife peeled the tatties in the sink.”
Murray and Irene are very much looking forward to their latest Monaco trip, now that it has become something of a regular fixture. Murray observed it would be a bit different at least from a Saturday night in the East Neuk!
And he was in no doubt why his wares appealed so much to the rich and famous of Monaco. “It’s the secret recipe in the batter,” he declared. The couple have met the likes of Formula I racing drivers David Couthard and Paul di Resta , along with friends of Prince Albert. “The first time we went we were a bit nervous, as we didn’t know what we were getting into,” recalled Murray.
