An 84-year-old Windygates man was killed at Glenrothes Bus Station after being knocked over by a bus.
The accident happened at 10.20am on Monday 31st October and police and ambulance were called to the scene.
It was quickly established that the man had been knocked down by a bus sustained serious injuries. Sadly, after arriving by ambulance at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, he succumbed to his injuries, around 11.45am.
Deputy head of road policing, Inspector Brenda Sinclair, said: “We are currently investigating the full circumstances that led to the death of an 84-yr-old Windygates man. I would appeal to any member of the public who was in the area of the bus station this morning and who witnessed this tragic incident to come forward. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in Kirkcaldy in due course.”
