No criminal charges over death of three-week-old baby

The police have concluded their investigation into the death of Violet-Ivy Turnbull, whose body was found in a first floor flat in Kinloss Crescent on October 22.

They have said that the newborn was the victim of ‘unexplained infant death’ and have sent a report of their findings to the Crown Office.

At the time of the tragedy, the family of Violet-Ivy released a statement through Police Scotland that reasd: “We as a family are devastated by the loss of our beautiful daughter, granddaughter and sister Violet-Ivy Turnbull. We wish to be left in private to mourn at this time.”
