THE past year has been one of the most memorable for sports fans with the Euro 2012 and the Olympic and Paralympic games, but the next 12 months are set to be just as good for local children.
Schools across Fife are currently receiving loads of different sporting equipment, thanks to customers of Sainsbury’s passing on vouchers given to them after shopping in store as part of its Active Kids scheme.
Pictured above are pupils from Balcurvie Primary School who took a special delivery, including badminton rackets and a junior goal set, from workers at the Leven branch.
Delighted headteacher Jil Simpson said: “We’d like to thank everyone that helped us to collect enough vouchers to provide the children with this equipment, which is going to help support future lessons.
“The Active Kids scheme helps to support our teaching of the benefits of living a healthier, more active lifestyle to our pupils.”
