Monsters Inc.

Recommended by Fiona Purnell

THIS is one of my favourite films of all time and having not seen it for a while I figured it was time to watch it again.

A Disney Pixar film, Monsters Inc features some incredible animation and is a great watch for the whole family.

As with many of these films, there’s elements to it which are not solely aimed at the kids.

The story is simple, yet clever.

Monster duo Mike and Sulley work as a team at ‘Monsters Inc’, a factory where monsters enter children’s bedrooms through their cupboards, scare the child and capture their screams to help power their city, Monstropolis.

Their world is disrupted after one little girl ‘contaminates’ the city by sneaking into the monster world with Sulley one night and the pair must get Boo back to her world before she is discovered by Sulley’s rival Randall or boss, Mr Waternoose.

The graphics in this are excellent and the main characters of Sulley - voiced by John Goodman - and Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) are so easy to fall in love with.

If you’ve not had the chance to see this film, then I’d recommend it as a must watch.

If you have seen it, then maybe it’s time to dig it back out off the shelf and enjoy the fun all over again.
