Over £10,000 worth of drugs recovered in Fife

Police have arrested and charged five people following the recovery of over £10,000 worth of drugs in Fife.

Local and specialist resources executed a search warrant at an address on Keltyhill Avenue, Kelty on Thursday, May 12.

Heroin powder worth £2400, mephedrone powder worth £6280, cannabis resin worth £1000 and diazepam tablets worth £450 were all seized.

A 35-year-old man, two men aged 29, and two women, aged 29 and 24, have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Kathryn Fairfield said: “The sale and use of controlled drugs not only endangers individuals but is detrimental to the whole community.

“We’re committed to acting on information we receive from the public and would urge anyone with concerns about drugs in their community to get in touch.”
