PARISHIONERS in Letham, Luthrie and the surrounding area have bade farewell to their minister, Rev. Neil McLay.
Mr McLay conducted his last service in Kilmany Church on Sunday, having spent the last six years as minister at Creich, Flisk and Kilmany linked with Monimail.
He’s now to become an army chaplain and is due to undertake basic officer training in November.
Mr McLay and his wife, Heather, are expecting their third child this month.
Hugh Laidlaw, session clerk at Monimail, commented: “This is a challenging career move for Neil and we wish him every success in his new position.
“We are grateful for all that Neil has contributed to the life of our local churches and will follow his career with great interest.
“It is now our responsibility to build on his achievements in the parishes.”
