North east Fife’s support for the TCCL Lodge fundraising campaign has been given a massive boost with the news that Spoiled Hairdressing is to host a charity auction party night for the children’s cancer charity.
The team at Spoiled has chosen to celebrate the first birthday of its St Andrews salon by holding the fundraiser at town’s Hotel Du Vin on Saturday, January 30.
Owner Glenn Malloy, who also has a salon in Cupar, said his team have enjoyed holding a range of events for TCCL Lodge since the Fife Herald and St Andrews Citizen’s campaign to support the £500,000 fundraising drive to buy a holiday home in St Andrews for children with cancer and their families was launched last October.
But the New Year event will be the biggest yet and Glenn said he hopes it will exceed the total raised by previous charity nights.
He said: “We are hoping to smash our previous best of £8000 raised at a charity auction a few years ago.
“The event, which is open to everyone, will be lots of fun and will include music from Gavin Patrick, a buffet, raffle prizes, an auction and a few surprises!
“We decided to team up with TCCL lodge earlier in the year as cancer is something that has touched us all one way or another, and it’s nice to support a local charity where you can really see the difference the money makes.”
Glenn added: “Tickets, priced at £25, are available from both salons and are selling out quickly so be sure to secure yours soon and join in this amazing night of fun for a fantastic cause.
“Any local businesses who would like to donate to the auction or raffle are asked to contact Sam, our admin manager by email email@example.com or call 01334 470564.”
