10 ideas to raise funds for our Maggie's Centre
Maggie's Fife has launched a £10,000 fundraising appeal to ensure it can support people living with a cancer diagnosis.

Hide AdThe organisation, which is funded almost entirely by voluntary donations, is calling on Fifers to rally round during the coronavirus crisis – and it has come up with a list of great ideas to fundraise while at home.
1 A Virtual run:
Maggie’s has teamed up with Run For Charity to make sure there are lots of events for you to take part near your home while getting in your daily exercise.
They include a virtual marathon, where you can log the equivalent distance while walking or out for a run.

Hide Ad2 Get activeWe all like to boogie, so hoe about a sponored ‘dance-a-thon’ in your own home?
Or see if your family and friends will sponsor you for the ultimate climbing challenge – up and down the stairs at home. How about 100 per day?
You could even host a yoga challenge to raise funds for our Maggie’s Centre.

3 The great bake off!
Maggie's Kitchen Table Day has become something of an annual event, and there’s no reason why it can’t continue – with a twist.
Bake up a storm for the folk in your home, and challenge your friends to do likewise. Get the cook-a-long sponsored and then turn it into a virtual event using digital platforms such as Zoom and Houseparty.

They are very easy to set up and can be lots of fun. You can also download some questions if you don’t fancy making up your own

Playlist fundraising – Spotify is a great way to keep people connected and you can fundraise at the same time!
Simply create a playlist and get your friends and family to add a song of their choice in return for a donation.

Why not donate what what you’d normally spend on lunches and coffees at work during week? A simple way to help the appeal.
