Siobhon and David from Glenrothes had their first children together – boys named Arlo and Jenson.

Arlo was born first at 10.11am weighing 4lb 12oz followed by Jenson at 10.13am weighing 4lb 3oz.

Siobhan said the couple found out in June they were due to have twins: “We were over the moon but totally shocked,” she said.

"They were born early due to them being twins and problems with my blood pressure but the birth was quick and easy due to having a C-section.

"These are our first children together but David has a daughter called Zoe aged six.”

She revealed where the names came from: “We chose the name Arlo because it’s unusual, and Jenson because David is a big fan of Formula One – after driver Jenson Button – and both of us liked the name .

"I think it is very rare for couples to have twins – you don’t hear of many having them, but they run in my family. My pappa was a twin and it came down to me, the baby of five sisters, to be blessed with twins.”

She added: “They were the best Christmas present we have ever had.”

Kellylee said she was surprised to find out she was pregnant as she didn’t think she could have any more children.

She said: “I was nervous and excited and couldn’t wait to see the first scan!

"The pregnancy went well apart from the heartburn which made me sick nearly every day. I had Noah in a birthing pool which was my plan from the beginning and it was wonderful. I have had a water birth before with one of Noah’s big sisters, Monica. He has four big sisters – Faye, 16, Amy 15, Emma 13 and Monica, 11.

"We had lots of different names picked out and it was only Noah that all my girls never hated.

"It is a beautiful Christmas name which is why is it probably so popular for babies born in December.”

She added: “Having a baby before Christmas was the very best present I could have ever had and the fact that he was a baby boy was totally amazing.”
