Tourism St Andrews has been working with local photographer Marta Droszkowska Raynor on the project.

Marta (34) was born in Poland and, in 2007 after finishing university, came to St Andrews to visit friends and never left.

Working as a bar manager in the Keys Bar ever since, she met her husband in 2009.

Marta loves walks in nature, but it is only since she came across the ‘St Andrews Photo Corner’ Facebook group and the beautiful photos found on that page, that she was inspired to practice her own photography skills and post her own images of St Andrews using the online channel.

Marta likes to look at things differently and is always looking for the positive side of things in life – a trait she uses in her photography.

She said: “I take photos with my heart. I’m not a professional photographer but I enjoy the beautiful aspects of St Andrews and if I’m making people happy then that’s a job well done.

“I’ve been using my exercise time during lockdown to continue taking beautiful photos that I love and which have created memories for me. I hope others love them too and that they are especially enjoyed by those that are unable to be out and about during this current difficult time for us all.”

This album has been created from a selection of Marta’s photos taken during lockdown and they have been chosen as they depict the natural beauty of St Andrews – stunning scenes, iconic buildings, wildlife and nature in bloom.

Debbie MacCallum, chairwoman of Tourism St Andrews, the local tourist association, said: “The quality of the photography reflects the spellbinding beauty of our wonderful town.

“We are looking forward to welcoming our visitors back to St Andrews sometime soon.”

The album can be found on the Touism St Andrews Facebook page – www.facebook.com/tourismstandrews.
