Inspector Stephanie Ross, said “We are keen to trace the owner of the cat as soon as possible.

“The cat is male and has been estimated to be around six years old.

“ His stomach is quite large and has bones protruding so we think this should ring some bells with anyone who is familiar with him.”

He added: ““Unfortunately he isn’t microchipped so we haven’t been able to find out any information about him.”
