An appeal has gone out to any women who saw The Beatles perform their legendary gigs in Kirkcaldy to recount their memories.

Author and journalist Eddi Fiegel is looking for any female fans who saw the band play in the Lang Toun as part of her new book telling, for the first time, the individual stories of “the girls who screamed for The Beatles.”

Some 1500 fans attended each one, and Fiegel wants to hear from women who were there – and she is particularly interested in women who may have gone to special lengths to see them.

In the book - She Loves You – The Girls Who Screamed for The Beatles - Fiegel will tell for the first time, not just these women’s recollections of seeing the group but also their own individual stories, looking at how they came to see the band how they felt about the show and what happened in their lives subsequently.

Fiegel is the author of highly acclaimed biographies of multi-Oscar-winning film composer John Barry and ‘Mama’ Cass Elliot.
