Policing investigating a serious assault in Glenrothes have made two arrests.

They have charged a man and woman who will now be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

A 28-year old man was assaulted in Forres Drive, Glenrothes, on Thursday evening. He was taken to hospital for treatment to serious but not life threatening injuries.

Police confirmed this morning that a 31 year-old man and a 25 year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A full report will be sent to the Procurator FIscal.
