The markets launched in 2020, took place on a monthly basis close to the town centre and proved a hit with shoppers and traders alike.

Originally held on the second Saturday of the month, the Levenmouth Together team is looking to add another monthly date on the fourth Saturday of every month.

One of the project’s main aims is to promote tourism in the Levenmouth area with an emphasis on the town centre, and feedback from the markets have shown the food and drink producers, crafters and artisans attract increasing numbers of shoppers from out-with the local area, who also visit the High Street.

The team is hoping to create a forum working with town centre businesses to hear their views on alternative methods to boost footfall to the town, whilst adhering strictly to government guidelines. Any interested business owners should email the team at [email protected], using the subject heading ‘Leven Business Forum’.

Levenmouth Together chair Brian Robertson-Fern said: “We had initially anticipated the return of the market to be early April, but as lockdown was extended and the majority of town centre businesses that we aim to support were unable to open their doors, we felt it would be unfair to do so.”

Leven Artisan Market will return on Saturday, May 8, 10am until 3pm at South Street / Forth View car park, with a second May market anticipated on the 22nd . Stalls can be booked via the online shop – www.brag.co.uk/shop.
