Baby in critical condition as police attend house in Fife town

A baby boy is in a critical condition in hospital after police were called to a home in Glenrothes.

The child is in the Royal Hospital for Sick Kids in Edinburgh after being transferred from Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.

Police Scotland confirmed they attended the house on Friday morning after a report of concern for a child.

Officers arrived around 9:00am and their inquiries are going.

The infant’s condition is said to be critical.
