Police searching for a ‘high risk’ man missing from Rosyth have found a body.

The sad discovery was made in woodland near Thornton on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy today.

Officers had been searching for Keith MacGregor, who they described as a “high risk” missing person.

The Rosyth man had been missing since Thursday, and was last seen in the Overton area of Kirkcaldy the following afternoon.

Officers were following up reports he had been seen in the Heathery Wood area on the outskirts of town. They confirmed today a body had been found nearby.

Mr MacGregor’s family have been informed.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances.”
