There will be a number of prizes up for grabs, including a beautiful Claudia Bradby Joy necklace, specially designed for Maggie’s, and a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label, New York Limited Edition.

Edward was set to host the annual Maggie’s ladies lunch last week, but when that couldn’t happen due to the pandemic, he kindly offered to put on a Facebook Live event instead.

The lunch has now been postponed until May 21, 2021.

Edward said: “I am delighted to be able to help Maggie’s Fife support people with cancer at this really difficult time.

“I know everyone was really disappointed when the Ladies Lunch couldn’t go ahead, but I also know how incredibly generous people are and how they want to help such an amazing causes as Maggie’s.

“I am just pleased to be able to help and if I put a smile on people’s faces by doing so then all the better.”

Vicky Tierney, Maggie’s partnerships manager, said: “In the last few weeks our focus has been on supporting people with cancer as they face heightened fear and anxiety during this health crisis, but of course it has also had an impact on our fundraising.

“As we do rely almost entirely on voluntary donations we were so disappointed not to be able to hold our Ladies Lunch, but we are incredibly grateful to Edward for suggesting to bring a little bit of the Ladies Lunch magic to our Facebook pages.

“Please do tune in on Sunday, I know you will have a fantastic time and one of our auction prizes might just take your fancy.”
