Co-op names first ‘community pioneer’ for Cupar

As part of Co-op’s drive to support communities across Fife, it has now employed a ‘member pioneer’ covering Cupar, Tayport and St Andrews.

Conor Caldwell, from Cupar, became a ‘member pioneer’ at the start of this year.

He will be working with local good causes and vulnerable people in the community. Conor has received full training and business support to fulfil his role bringing together Co-op members, colleagues and local causes to make his community a better place to work, live and learn.

This new position forms part of a drive to recruit 1000 ‘pioneers’ across the country. Existing member pioneers are currently involved in a wide range of activities including co-ordinating food drives and offering personal support to those unable to leave their homes.

The member pioneer team is growing at a rapid speed however there are currently vacancies in Fife, including Kirkcaldy and Oakley/Crossford/Highvalley Field.
