Concern over cold classrooms in winter as schools tackle COVID
Some schools are leaving windows open and the heating on.
At a policy and co-ordination meeting, Councillor Helen Law raised concerns over the impact on young pupils.
The Dunfermline Labour councillor welcomed a list of urgent issues to be addressed by education and children and family services.

Hide AdBut, she said " I would hope that by the time young folk are back after the holidays that we've managed to resolve some of the issues around the classrooms being absolutely freezing, and children left outside at break times regardless of the weather.
"These need to be addressed right now.
“It's awful to think that children will be sitting with classroom windows wide open, freezing to death, and in break times over lunch with absolutely no where to go- just standing out in the rain.
"We need to do better than that."
