Demolition work could start on Fife flats next week
The dilapidated Mayview flats are to be demolished to make way for a new care village in its place.
Work is expected to start on March 29, with the whole project expected to last around 20 weeks – however, this could be delayed if birds are found to be nesting in any of the blocks.

Leaflets detailing the work are due to be sent to neighbouring properties in the coming days.
Councillor Linda Holt said: “The Anstruther community will be very pleased that demolition works at Mayview are finally beginning. The site has been empty for too long, with Covid delaying this work and the subsequent construction of new council housing and a care home."
