Enlightening work experience for students at new Kirkcaldy enterprise hub

Five students from the college’s professional cookery SCQF level 4 course will be the first group to take part in a barista and customer service training programme at Enlightenments.
Opened in September, it is the new enterprise arm of the Adam Smith Global Foundation.

Hide AdCreated with the support of Fife Council and the College, the hub provides practical space for new and young local business start-ups as well as housing a training café.
The training package for the culinary arts students has been put together by Mike Lowe, from The 3 Beans Coffee Company, who is running the café element of the hub.
Bryan McCabe-Bell, faculty director for business, enterprise and tourism with supported programmes at Fife College said: “The hub will offer a number of fantastic opportunities for our students, from business and enterprise to culinary arts to hospitality”
