Robert Walker (59) was struck by a car on the A915 Largo Road in the early hours of March 1, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His brothers, Wullie and Dave, have asked anyone who might have witnessed the incident or have CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police.

“Anyone who has anything from the back of 1am, from him going from MacPhails to where the accident was, would be helpful,” said Wullie.

“Whether it’s a camera of him walking past their house, or anyone at Scoonie roundabout with cameras. Someone could have been passing and caught him on their dashcam.”

Robert spent most of his life in Levenmouth, growing up in Kennoway.

He had two daughters, Mandy and Marcha, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Dave and Wullie said Rab was “well-known” at the local foodbanks and churches, and attended Buckhaven Baptist Church.

“He was here all the time,” said Wullie. “We’ve always been close – me, Dave, Rab. When he came back from rehab he was here three or four times a week.

“Me and Rab have always been in this area.

“When I lived in Buckhind, he stayed in Buckhind. When I lived in Methil, he lived in Methil.

“We always stayed close to each other. He was just Rab.

“A spade is a spade to him. If you don’t like it, too bad. That’s the way he was. Everyone knew him.”

Police Scotland said that inquiries into the incident were still ongoing.
