Eden Mill has started a drive thru.

When customers drive up to the Guardbridge site they can wait at the north entrance gate to the Eden Campus in their car. Meanwhile, an Eden Mill employee will take their order, bag it up and bring it back to them, where they can complete their transaction with contactless card or cash.

Euan Kinninmonth, retail department leader at Eden Mill, said: “With everything the way it is just now, we’ve had to be innovative in our response to the crisis to find ways to continue to trade.

“I came up with this idea because I wanted to create something that respected social distancing out of care to our customers, but which still allowed them to continue to buy and enjoy our craft products.

People can drive to our entrance, we can come take their order, gather their order together and complete the transaction with cash or contactless card. We are now offering a ‘click and collect’ option online, where customers can place their order in advance to guarantee collection within 48 hours.”

Customers can place orders and find out more at www.edenmill.com.

To say thank you to the UK’s health service fighting the virus on the front line, the gin distillery are also offering a 25 per cent discount and free delivery to NHS staff.

The gin distillery is also encouraging the public to ‘Stay Home and Chill with Eden Mill’. Last week they surprised a street of self-isolators in Glasgow with an unexpected gin drop, hoping to brighten spirits.
